Are you interested in mastering the fundamentals of Microsoft Access 2007? This six-part course will introduce the basics and then delve deeper into the features of Microsoft Access 2007. Attendees must be familiar with Microsoft Excel, and instructor approval is required in order to register for this class.  The class is intensive, and there will be multiple take-home exercises handed out.  If you are interested in registering, please contact Phil at peskew [at] mcpl [dot] info.

Attendees are required to sign up for the entire six-part course. The six classes take place on the same day of the week over a six-week period. Please note: the titles of the class merely indicate the context in which we will discuss various features of Microsoft Access 2007; however, all features are useful in other contexts.

 

Class One: This class will cover the basics of database creation, including table creation, adding records to a table, and simple reports.

Class Two: This class will delve into querying, establishing query parameters, joining tables, performing calculations, and working in the Design view.

Class Three: This class will cover filtering records, using action queries, setting validation rules, and using sub-datasheets.

Class Four: This class will delve deeper into report and form creation as well as advanced formatting options.

Class Five: This class will cover multi-table forms, form design and modification, working with tab stops, and field options.

Class Six: Catch-Up – We will take time to catch-up on any material not covered in past classes, and we will review concepts covered in previous classes.

 

Each class is two hours.
Space is limited to 10 participants.
All classes are held in Program Room 2C.
