Using Microsoft powerpoint 2003

a five-part course

Are you interested in mastering the fundamentals of Microsoft PowerPoint 2003? This five-part course will introduce the basics and then delve deeper into the features of Microsoft PowerPoint 2003.

Attendees are required to sign up for the entire five-part course. The five classes take place on the same day of the week over a five-week period. Please note: the titles of the class merely indicate the context in which we will discuss various features of Microsoft PowerPoint 2003; however, all features are useful in other contexts.

Class One: The Basics

Creating a basic slide show
Working with bulleted and numbered lists
Use and selection of design templates

Class Two: Animation & Clip Art

Adding a header and/or footer to your slides
Inserting images and clip art
Including animation schemes

Class Three: Customizing Templates & Slide Transitions

Customizing slide templates with images & colors
Configuring various slide transitions
Customizing bulleted lists

Class Four: Inserting Graphs, Tables & Custom Flowcharts

Inserting charts and tables into a slide
Creating custom flowcharts
Copying flowcharts from PowerPoint into Word or Excel

Class Five: Beyond Bullet Points

Creating and finessing a storyboard
Balancing info in slide with your verbal presentation
Creating a slide show that encourages participation
And more...

Each class is two hours.
Space is limited to 10 participants.
All classes are held in Program Room 2C.
