Call to Order

President Steve Moberly called the work session to order at 5:45pm in the Board Room.

Review of Strategic Planning Proposals

Cindy Gray presented proposals that were received from Mary Ellen McCann and the McCann Consulting Group, LLC, and Sara Laughlin and Associates.

Discussion followed. Trustees were concerned with only having received two proposals, and encouraged Cindy to alert other consultants that we are accepting bids for and extending the deadline for submitting proposals on developing a strategic plan for the library.

Library Capital Project Fund Proposal

Discussion followed regarding the timeline for the proposal and the public hearing. Linda Hunt suggested the idea of having a work session, public hearing, and regular meeting on April 11.

After discussion, Cindy distributed sample copies of educational brochures and information regarding the economic impact on libraries that Randy Paul prepared.

Discussion followed regarding our library services and how to promote them in the community. Suggestions were made to provide information at all check-outs, and to create a bookmark in-house with statistics and information (including dollars spent and services we provide.
