Library Card Requirements

Monroe County residents, 18 years or older:

If the patron is 18 years old or older and lives in Monroe County, they must provide one item to verify name and one to verify address for the lists below. For residents under 18 years of age, no ID is required; but may be requested for application.
(NOTE: If driver's license, state ID or Mexican Consular ID has current address, no second document will be required.)

  • K-12 report card
  • Learner's Permit

  • Driver's license

  • Property tax receipts (w/in past year)
  • Personalized mail (post marked w/in 90 days)
  • Lease Agreement (current)
  • Hunting/fishing license (current)
  • Car registration papers

  • Pre-printed checks
  • Bill or Bank Statement (post marked w/in 90 days)
Your mailing address can be a Post Office Box, however you must verify your street address.
