OUT exists to promote the welfare of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered (GLBT) students at Indiana University and support awareness of the GLBT community at large in Bloomington. This is accomplished by providing the following: information and education for the GLBT community; support and referral for GLBT students; involvement in GLBT causes; and our exsistence as a social organization for the GLBT community. In addition to weekly meetings, regular OUT events include such things as Pride Week, Halloween Dance, the Miss Gay IU Pageant, and Hoosier Daddy. OUT also hosts conferences, brings speakers/performers to IU, and many other interesting GLBT activities.
