Friends of the Library take action

The Friends of the Library are people just like you who value the library. But more than that, Friends of the Library take action. For example, the bookmobile was purchased with assistance from the Friends of the Library, and our members have opportunities to volunteer in some of the area's most loved programs.

Our funds enrich the library experience

Your membership will support:

summer reading kits
puppet shows, and children's programs
programs for teens
guest authors and discussion groups
books, cassettes, videotapes, and books on tape and CD
computers and software
VITAL workshops and material to teach adults to read
Math Homework Help Center
CATS (Community Access Television Services)
preservation of historical Monroe County documents

Joining is easy

The Friends of the Library have annual memberships for everyone.

As a member, you will receive:

a subscription to Between Friends, the Friends of the Library newsletter
mailings to keep you posted on library events
opportunities to meet guest authors
an invitation to the Friends of the Library annual meeting and other events
