About the Indiana Room

The Indiana Room can help you with in-depth research on historical and current issues concerning the state and local area.

It is the home of a special collection of genealogy. The collection also includes city directories, public information files, climatological data, laws, and more, including various indexes.

Research Requests

When making a query by mail or email, please include as much information as you can and include your return mailing address.

For our patrons outside of Monroe County, there is a minimum $10.00 charge for in-depth research. For fees for obituaries, see guidelines.

Test Proctoring
