The Edgar Awards are presented every year by the Mystery Writers of America and are often considered the most prestigious awards for the mystery genre. This year's awards were presented this weekend and the winners include:

Best Paperback Original: Long Time Coming [3] by Robert Goddard

Best Fact Crime: Scoreboard, Baby: A Story of College Football, Crime and Complicity [4] by Ken Armstrong and Nick Perry

Best Critical Biographical: Charlie Chan: The Untold Story of the Honorable Detective and his Rendezvous with American History [5] by Yunte Huang

Best Juvenile: The Buddy Files: The Case of the Lost Boy [6] by Dori Hillestad Butler

Best Young Adult: The Interrogation of Gabriel James [7] by Charlie Price
