Main Library Adult Program

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), suicide is the third leading cause of death among persons aged 15‐24 years. With these alarming statistics, the annual Mosaic Film and Theater Festival focuses this year on suicide awareness and prevention. The program will include a panel discussion from professionals in the counseling field, a screening of a documentary film, and an interactive theatre presentation in which trained actors will improvise scenes about suicide. There will also be a personal testament from someone who’s lost a loved one to suicide. Come and hear their story.

This conversation group will cover basic conversational Spanish with an emphasis on communicating in a friendly setting. Practice with native speakers of Spanish who are eager to help you with your conversation skills in Spanish, and you can return the favor by helping them with their English.Sundays from 2:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. No registration required.
