Boolean Expression

A Boolean Expression allows you to combine words in your search. AND, OR and NOT are the three most commonly used. You can combine Boolean Expressions using parentheses. An example of a combined Boolean Expression is: (teens or youth) and college.

AND

Searches for only those items with both search term 1 and search term 2


OR

Searches for all items with either search term 1 or search term 2


NOT

Searches for items with search term 1 but eliminates those with search term 2
