This book has wonderful color illustrations showing how to assemble each block, just as the subtitle says. It assumes you will be making your own paper or plastic templates but it does not explain how to enlarge or size each block, which beginners may not know how to do. A big drawback is that the "template" for each block is only 1.5" square! Furthermore half of them are al located near the gutter in the book on the left hand pages, so I have trouble imagining that it will be easy to photocopy and enlarge the patterns to a usable size. I understand that enlarging with copier functions can lead to distortion too. The blocks are organized alphabetically and each one has a difficulty rating of 1 to 5 stars. Most blocks are rated 1 or 2 stars and I saw none rated 5 stars. Based on my own experience I think more of the blocks should be rated at a more difficult level.
