A boring movie posing as deep thought. If the point was to feel sympathy for the plight of the main character's life, it failed. Reviews often state that this is a look into a lonely, mundane, and boring life and how it affects this character. The problem with the story is that his life isn't terrible, he is. There are scenes where it did seem that his obnoxious behavior is the reason for everyone deserting him, but they go nowhere and contribute nothing in the end. To paraphrase a line from the movie, there is no lesson here. Don't waste your time with this.
