I got this off the 7 day rack at the library and got in done with time to spare. Slow at the start (while still engaging), it really picks up by the end. The ending makes me leave off a star, but I love what it has to say about regrets and forgiveness and making the best we can of a situation and of course love in the variety of forms it takes/appears. A really impressive debut with this beautiful lines and images like this: "The rain is falling more heavily, and in the distance, thunder grumbles at being left behind by the lightning."
