Your Review:
The “Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair” is an intriguing multi-layered story within a story. The author, Joel Dicker, incorporates the themes of forbidden love, friendship, murder, and self-discovery in this suspenseful, insightful novel. He skillfully reveals secret after secret, which leads the reader to believe the 33-year-old cold case has been solved. But then another piece of information surfaces and debunks those previous theories. This is a lengthy book, 897 pages in the large-print edition and 600 pages in regular print. I recommend it as a vacation read, because it is such a page-turner, it’s almost impossible to put it down. This is, by far, the best book I’ve read in the past year. (And I read a LOT of books.)
