New Wacom Drawing Tablet in Level Up!

new_wacom_tablet_header.jpg

Did you know the Library has a brand new Wacom tablet?  It's true! The Wacom Intuos Pro M is a powerful tool that can be used in so many creative ways. Similar to Level Up's Intuos Pro, this table allows you  to draw on its surface with a specialized pen and see your work on your computer screen.

Your drawings can then be manipulated further using other tools, like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.  It's a great way to work with art on the computer, and makes it faster and easier to get natural-looking lines and drawings into your projects.

Hey DJs: the Traktor Kontrol S2 Is Here!

Live DJing has come a long way since the days of keeping the party going by simply playing one song after another. The turntable revolution of the 1980s established DJs as performers in their own right—songs on vinyl records became the raw materials sonic artists mixed, "scratched," and re-fashioned into amazing new musical statements and creative experiences. Then came the next game-changer that made individual records themselves optional: by using digital controllers—some of which emulate the look and feel of a turntable and mixer setup—today's DJs are limited only by their imaginations and the number of audio files on their computers.

Create Your Father's Day Video Greeting Card in Level Up

Father's Day is June 18th. Show your Dad how much you care by creating him a personalized greeting card in Level Up's video studios at the Main Library!

Making a video greeting card here is easy and free—and much more fun than scouring the greeting card aisle at the grocery store for a message that fits your dad's unique style. In Level Up, you can choose from our props, find images to add on top of (or behind) your video footage, and even incorporate something you've brought from home into the perfect Father's Day greeting.

To create your video, just come on in. Staff can point you in the right direction, and even help you get started. Dad is going to be really impressed this year!
