Anika, a foundling taken in by servants in 19th century Vienna has a happy childhood being a useful housekeeper and cook, acting out stories with her friends, and generally bringing joy to her neighborhood community. She dreams of her biological mother finding her, but when her dream becomes a reality, things are not as she imagined. The setting and an ensemble of characters are richly developed. Often small descriptions or objects that initially craft a character development return in significant and surprising ways to the major story arch. The result is charming and satisfying. The narrator’s distinct voice changes enhance the distinctive personalities across the ensemble of characters. Excellent delivery and timing make complex temporal flashback and setting changes easy to follow.

Your Review:
It's hard to give a good review for this book because you don't even know where to begin with this brilliant love story. This is a touching, fun, and hopeful story about a 16 year old girl named Hazel Grace Lancaster. Hazel has a thyroid cancer that has spread to her lungs and makes it so she has to walk around with an oxygen tank and also makes life kind of hard to live. Her life is pretty mellow until she meets the love of her life Augustus Waters in a support group for cancer-stricken teens. Then begins the tearful and magnificent story of Augustus and Hazel and their journey and battles with cancer. Not only did John Green create a masterpiece thriving with rhythm, he also created a truth that some may not realize. By reading this book you will get the chance to indulge in the life of another that may be a lot different than yours. I would honestly say that is one of the best books I've ever read and I hope everyone gets the chance to read it. I recommend this book for teens 13 and up who enjoy romance and realistic fiction. There is some maturity required for this book but do not let that steer you from reading it.

Your Review:
This book is basically a poem about President Nelson Mandela of South Africa and the great impact he's made on the citizens of the world. Dr. Maya Angelou uses vivid language to describe how America took the news of President Mandela's death, and also to describe what he has done for his country. "His Day is Done" is a moving poem that speaks for all of us and pays a great respect and vibe of sympathy from America to South Africa. This book is a quick read and I suggest it for readers who enjoy poetry with a hint of biography.

I loved this book! It's been a favorite of mine for a while, along with Insurgent and Allegiant. And for all the readers wanting spoilers for the book, I'm not one who likes spoilers. I like to be surprised. But I will tell you this: Tris marries Peter, Eric gets pregnant, Christina and Tobias run away together, Will joins the factionless, and Caleb confesses his love for Marcus. :-)

If you have a love for spy books, a demand for romance, and a thrill for drama, then this is a book worth reading. Follow Jaz Parks, assassin extraodinaire, as she hunts down a dangerous vampire with a past relationship with her new partner, who is also a vampire. When Jaz starts to feel an attraction towards her boss things become complicated as her last love and fiance was murdered by the very species she is now having feelings for. With Jaz having to fight tooth and nail (and sometimes with her trusted gun) to keep herself alive, how will she ever have time to be worried over a crush anyway?

Very interesting! Not at all what I thought it would be about by looking at it. Thought it would be a war story and I am not into those types of novels and was delighted to find it a mystery. It's hard to put down it's that good of a book. I highly recommend.
