We believe and practice the following:
- God is absolute good, everywhere present.
- Human beings have a spark of divinity within them. Their very essence is of God, and therefore they are inherently good.
- Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking.
- Prayer and Meditation are forms of creative thinking that heighten our connection with God.
- Knowing and understanding these principles are not enough. A person must also live the truth that he or she knows.

Faculty governance at Indiana University has a unique history. At a tea held in the home of Mrs. H. A. Hoffman on Thursday, April 24, 1913, a social organization of Indiana University faculty women, wives and teachers was proposed. Forty five women were present and after discussion, agreement was reached to send invitations to all eligible women; to hold eight meetings a year; to pay dues and to serve refreshments; and to have an executive committee to direct the organization.

We are veterans committed to helping ourselves and other veterans achieve recovery from the psychiatric and adjustment problems that we,as veterans, face.

The Mission of Visually Impaired Preschool Services, Inc. (VIPS) is to offer appropriate services to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers who are visually impaired or blind and to their families; to maximize each child's developmental potential through direct services, advocacy, and community education.

In cooperation with others in the community, Volunteers in Medicine plans to provide the following services without cost to the medically underserved in Monroe and Owen Counties: easily accessible, quality primary and preventive health care; treatment for both acute and chronic conditions; and health education that empowers individuals to take responsibility for their own well being.

Wapehani Mountain Bike Park on Weimer Road is located off of West 2nd Street (Bloomfield Road). This wooded hilly 43 acre area is designed for mountain bike use. Several trails are available for biking or hiking by foot.

The goals of our organization are to counteract stereotypes and prejudices against groups of people and to give marginalized people a voice and an opportunity to share their stories. We are going to be taking photos of individuals or couples and posting their photos on social media sites and on posters around town. On the image we are going to have a very concise message that we hope will cause an emotional response and feeling of connectedness from the viewer to the subject(s). We will have a full interview available if the viewer wants to learn more about the individual(s) but on the main image we want the message to be very short so a person will accidentally be exposed to someone from a possibly different background.

We want to give a voice to people feeling under attack right now. We are aiming to include all people from religious/ethnic/racial backgrounds, people who are LGBTQ+, people with disabilities or mental illness and people with different socio-economic statuses.

WFHB is the hub of our local community, and to that end, we create programming that meets the needs of the community. Hola Bloomington, Bring It On!, BloomingOUT, EcoReport, and many other programs produced by the public affairs department are important reminders of diversity of this area. The WFHB news department has won over 40 awards for journalistic excellence. This is evident in Daily Local News at 5:30 PM. WFHB music programming is eclectic and unique- nothing you will hear on other stations- such as Planetary Caravan, Golden Age Radio, Reggae Children, and so much more. WFHB also produces the quarterly live radio show- Firehouse Follies, the monthly Brown Country Hour, and many live, in-studio music performances throughout the year.
