Family Solutions is a private, not-for profit community based agency developed to provide counseling and supportive services to children and families who are at-risk for experiencing out of home placement or have had children removed from the home

The Farm to Family Fund is designed both to make healthful, sustainably produced food more available to low-income households and to support our local, sustainable food system, especially our farmers who take the risk of producing food during the winter months. At the close of Bloomington farmers’ markets, we purchase produce, eggs, and dairy that farmers wish to sell at half price. This food is donated to The Rise, the Community Kitchen of Monroe County, Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, and Hoosier Hills Food Bank.

For recreation and relaxation the Fern Hills Club is dedicated to provide a safe and friendly environment for family nudism.

Whether you grew up going to church every Sunday, or you are coming back to church after years of being away, or you have never attended church, know that others at First Christian Church have been on similar paths. We don’t all approach life and faith in the same way, but we do our best to welcome one another in the same way that God has graciously welcomed each of us. And we look forward to welcoming you! We gather for worship each Sunday morning at 10:00 am in the sanctuary. That service is also livestreamed and can be accessed each week as it happens or in the video archive. OUR PRESBYTERIAN FAITH
We are a dynamic congregation with close ties to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and grounded in the Reformed Tradition, which stretches back to John Calvin, Martin Luther and the Reformation that gave birth to the Protestant tradition of the priesthood of all believers. The Presbyterian Church of the 21st century holds fast to the notion that God is continually at work in the world, that Jesus Christ is head of the Church, and that we are called to be life-long learners, richly diverse even in the midst of our unity as people of faith, and open to all that God, in Christ, is leading us to do and be.

We embrace worship that touches the mind, heart, and soul; learning environments that invite questions and provide encouragement; service that reaches out to others in need; and fellowship that brings people together. Our church is about merging faith and daily living, as we seek to know God deeply and more fully. Whether you’re looking for a place to worship on Sundays, or desire to connect with others throughout the week, we respect your preferences and welcome you.

Indiana University majors, minors, and others with an interest in the activities of our discipline are welcome to participate in the Folklore and Ethnomusicology Student Association (FESA). FESA holds monthly meetings and helps plan departmental and campus-wide events such as the folklore and ethnomusicology film series, career night, and concerts. Participation in the group provides opportunities for networking, leadership development, and career exploration.

The Friday Musicale meets 6 times a year on the 2nd Friday of the month at 1:15 p.m. October-April (except January). They are affiliated with the National Federation of Music Clubs and Indiana Arts Festival. They sponsor a Junior Festival for pre-college students on the 2nd Saturday in May at the Jacobs School.

Organized in 1905, Friday Musicale is federated with the National and Indiana Federation of Music Clubs.

The National Federation of Music Clubs, founded in 1898, is now the world’s largest philanthropic music organization supporting American music and musicians. It is one fo three organizations to be chartered by the United States Congress and the only music organization member of the United Nations. There are six thousand NFMC-related organizations and music clubs nationally. Members are professional and amateur musicians, composers, dancers, performing artists, arts and music educators, students, generous benefactors, and music lovers who are interested in creating a dynamic musical and cultural environment in their communities.
