Dine Out for the Libraryjuannitas_logo_2016-1.jpg

Juannita’s is proud to bring authentic Mexican food to Bloomington, Indiana. Try the mole poblano, molote, banana leaf tamales, or melt-in-your-mouth chile rellenos. Juannita's will donate 20% of what you spend when you bring your flyer and enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner Tuesday, January 23 or Tuesday, January 30, 11 am to 9 pm. Your meal will taste even better knowing you’re contributing to a blue ribbon library for all in the community. Show your flyer available at library kiosks or print from our website.

Your dining out has brought in more than $12,000 for the Library! Thank you for enjoying all that great food.

nea-big-read-social-logo_with-website.jpgJoin the Friends and Monroe County Public Library in broadening our understanding of our world, our community, and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book. Let's join together as a community to read and discuss Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng. We have a host of free community programs including book discussions, films, art talks & exhibits, learning opportunities, and much more as The Big Read continues through April 30, 2018. Make plans to attend our next Big Read event, Feeding Memory: Food Memoirs and Immigrant Families, a talk exploring how shared meals help people cement their relationships to one another and to their cultural histories. Poems from the Monroe County Jail will be on display in the Gallery Space on the first floor of Monroe County Public Library the month of February.
