Friends of the Library
Monroe County Public Library Foundation (Friends of the Library) are members of the community just like you––individuals who value the Library and its role in the community. The Friends advocates for the Library and supports collections, services, programs, and staff development. Learn more about Friends events, membership, and donations.

Volunteer
We are fortunate to have volunteers who contribute their time, talent, and energy to a variety of long-term and short-term commitments. Opportunities range from volunteering in the children’s department, teen spaces, and the Friends of the Library Bookstore to tutoring adult learners, helping with the maintenance of Library collections, assisting with special events, and much more. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete a volunteer application. As opportunities arise that match your interests and availability, someone will contact you. Learn more.

Donate to the Bookstore
The Friends of the Library Bookstore offers amazing deals on a wide variety of items. Even better, its proceeds support Library initiatives!
