Why did you decide to read this book? Did a friend suggest it? Did it have an interesting cover?:
I chose to read this book because it was one of my teacher's picks at this year's book fair. I knew it was new and it had an interesting cover. Also, since the title was "Book Scavenger", I wondered if it was more of a game than a fiction novel, and that made me interested to read it.
What is the story about?/What happened in the story?:
The book is about a girl named Emily, who's family has a goal to live in all 50 states, so they move about every year. The book takes place when they live in San Francisco. Emily is a devoted Book Scavenger fan, a game created by famous book enthusiast, Garrison Griswold. He is just about to come out with a book treasure hunt, and Emily and her friend and brother try to solve it. but before it comes out, Griswold is shot, and he is on the verge of dying. Will he survive?

I Like Emily's brother, Matthew. He has a change of heart at the end of the story.
