Why did you decide to read this book? Did a friend suggest it? Did it have an interesting cover?:
I chose to read this book because I am in a book group at my school and my librarian gave me two books. One was Caddie Woodlawn. The other book was Soup. I chose Caddie Woodlawn.
What is the story about?/What happened in the story?:
The story is about an adventurous little girl named Caddie Woodlawn. Her uncle Edmund chose her to go hunting with him. He forgot his hunting bag on the raft. He went back to the raft to grab it. He was gone for a long time. When they were coming back home on the river the raft fell apart! Caddie almost drowned! Another thing that happened in the book is that everyone in the town came to Caddie's house because they thought that the Indians were going to attack them.
Who is your favorite character in the story? Why?:
My favorite character in the story is Caddie. She is my favorite because she is the main character. She is also my favorite because she does some pretty funny stuff. Another reason she is my favorite is because she is brave. I love Caddie.
Why did you like this story? or Why did you not like this story?:
I liked this story because it is full of adventure. I also liked this story because it is about a girl around my age.
