Book Title:
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Flies Again
Author:
Frank Cottrell Boyce
Why did you decide to read this book? Did a friend suggest it? Did it have an interesting cover?:
My mom got it for me. I liked Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and wanted to read a sequel. It also had a very interesting cover! Who wouldn't get a book with a flying camper van on the front?
What is the story about?/What happened in the story?:
The Tooting family is in for an adventure when their dad buys them a new camper van and the whole family drives off on vacation. When they find an old engine in a tree and put it in their camper, the machine comes to life (literally)! And the journey begins as they keep finding her other parts scattered around the world and gradually put Chitty Chitty Bang Bang back together and make her into her old self.
Who is your favorite character in the story? Why?:
I don't know . . . probably Chitty.
Why did you like this story? or Why did you not like this story?:
It has a very good plot and is one of the few exceptions of good sequels written by different authors!
Other thoughts or feelings about this story? Anything else to add?:
There are two more that come after this: "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the Race Against Time" and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Over the Moon"
