We watched the trailer to the movie in library, and it looked interesting.
What is the story about?/What happened in the story?:
Jonas lives in a "perfect", colorless, world, where everyone is happy. They know no nothing of their ancestors, their history, or what lies outside the walls of their world. When given his assignment, he becomes aware of the ways of his world, and the ways of the world around him.
Who is your favorite character in the story? Why?:
Jonas' best friend, Asher, because he doesn't fit the typical mold of the residents of their town. He is not perfect, and gets himself into trouble.
Why did you like this story? or Why did you not like this story?:
It is a creative twist to a dystopia sort of story. Very interesting and captivating.
Other thoughts or feelings about this story? Anything else to add?:
A MUST READ! I am never a fan of science fiction, but I loved this series.
