The Library has a new 3D Printer that can turn your digital designs into real world physical objects! Our new printer, a Prusa i3 MK3, will help you go from concept to object faster than ever before.

Using 3D Modeling Software, like the free and easy to use TinkerCAD, you can design objects to print out with our printer. We present a variety of 3D Printing Workshops throughout the year, many of them for all ages! Look for upcoming 3D Printing Workshops.

New Wacom Drawing Tablet in Level Up!

new_wacom_tablet_header.jpg

Did you know the Library has a brand new Wacom tablet?  It's true! The Wacom Intuos Pro M is a powerful tool that can be used in so many creative ways. Similar to Level Up's Intuos Pro, this table allows you  to draw on its surface with a specialized pen and see your work on your computer screen.

Your drawings can then be manipulated further using other tools, like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.  It's a great way to work with art on the computer, and makes it faster and easier to get natural-looking lines and drawings into your projects.

Hey DJs: the Traktor Kontrol S2 Is Here!

Live DJing has come a long way since the days of keeping the party going by simply playing one song after another. The turntable revolution of the 1980s established DJs as performers in their own right—songs on vinyl records became the raw materials sonic artists mixed, "scratched," and re-fashioned into amazing new musical statements and creative experiences. Then came the next game-changer that made individual records themselves optional: by using digital controllers—some of which emulate the look and feel of a turntable and mixer setup—today's DJs are limited only by their imaginations and the number of audio files on their computers.
