Teen Tech Week is March 5 – 11th here at MCPL. Teens can get hands-on all week with the great digital resources and tech the Library has to offer—all designed to help them succeed in school and prepare for college and 21st century careers. Whether it’s a video with friends, an attempt at producing a song for the first time in one of the audio studios, or a quick digital drawing in Adobe Illustrator, teens can come create a tech project in Level Up—the Library’s digital creativity center—then show it to staff and win a prize!
The library currently has a collection of video games for check out in the Children's Department, but have you ever wished we had more? We want to know what sort of games you'd check out, what system do you use, and more! Fill out this survey to have input into whether or not the library expands our video game collection!
Did you know that FREE workshops are held in Level Up every week on different digitally creative topics? Every Thursday from 7-8:30pm, experts from throughout the community volunteer their time to lead participants through different software, hardware, and all kinds of creative topics. These are usually hands on experiences that get you experiementing and practicing these skills from the start. Registration is not needed, but you may want to arrive a little early as these workshops are first come, first served and space is limited. Please check our online calendar for links to the specific upcoming programs or grab a Summer Program Guide next time you're here. See you Thursday!
