Like it or not, though, the reality is that money figures into almost everything—the world around us, where and how we live, what we do (or don't do) with our time and energy. So getting "money smart," no matter how big (or small) your income or family size, is one of the most important skills you can develop for yourself.
The It's Your Money project at the Library is here to help you do that. We focus on getting control of your money in the following key areas:
What We Offer
For your specific money questions, you can Talk to an Expert—free! These 30-minute one-on-one sessions with an unbiased personal finance expert are the place to go for advice on a particular money situation. To set up your appointment, email money [at] mcpl.info, or call the Library at (812) 349-3263.
In addition to the online resources linked above, we're always adding personal finance materials to the Library's collection for you to borrow.
And don't forget to keep your eye on the Library's Program Guide (free at any Library location) and our Events Calendar for any free personal finance-related programs and events we're offering. See you there!
