Everybody who knows anything about jazz music will have heard of clarinetist Benny Goodman, but an equally accomplished musician, and some say better was Artie Shaw. It is perhaps the brevity of the Shaw Orchestra (it only existed for a few years) that he is perhaps less known than his famous counterpart. That being said, the orchestra was one of the finest in its day and on this CD are two 'live' radio recordings made from the Cafe Rouge Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City in November 1939.
