Country Music is a genre that can be, for many, either discounted entirely or staunchly listened to above all else. However, it is actually as varied as any genre of music. Compiling all the subgenres and movements would be a near impossible task here, but this list focuses on some of the generational shifts in Country (and Western) and highlights a few of the musicians in our collection.

Quaranzine, Vol 2

The second issue of the Library's new community Quaranzine has arrived!

There are two different versions––one is for reading on a screen, and the other has been imposed so it can be printed at home, folded, stapled, and read in that fashion. Select short-side binding on most printers to print correctly.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this zine. Please consider contributing to the next issue, coming August 1!

Film Noir
book cover

Film Noir isn't exactly a genre, like how most of these are crime pictures, but rather a more specific descriptor of the mood and look of the type of movie it describes.

There is no way to make a definitive list of even a single sub-genre of Metal (let alone have all those titles available in our collection), so this list will just give a few examples from a few of the sub-genres of what can be classified as "metal". Our collection is likely missing some seminal releases here, so apologies to those who notice any glaring omissions.

Adventure Backpacks

Each year the Friends of the Library invites Library employees to submit their enterprising ideas for consideration of a Pioneer Grant. Projects must be innovative and beneficial to the community and lead the way to a knowledgeable, inclusive, and engaged community empowered by the Library. This year two projects were awarded grants.
