Description: 

Law students who conduct interviews and do forms for people for family law. A lawyer oversees the work, double checks the forms, and gives advice to walk-in clients. People who want help should bring all documents they have connected with their legal problem for maximum efficiency

Indiana Legal Services - Indiana Justice Center

Description: 

Indiana Legal Services (ILS) is a nonprofit law firm that provides free civil legal assistance to eligible low-income people throughout the state of Indiana. ILS helps clients who are faced with legal problems that harm their ability to have such basics as food, shelter, income, medical care or personal safety. Most of the cases ILS handles are cases such as family law where there is domestic violence, housing, consumer law, access to health care, and access to government benefits. ILS does not handle any criminal matters.

Tenant Assistance Project

Description: 

IU Maurer School of Law students work out of Bloomington's Justice Building to assist tenants who face an immediate threat of eviction. TAP offers quality, one time legal information, advice, and representation at the Justice Building. The program does not provide legal help or referrals during other times.
