Small Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies

Description

This recipe for classic chocolate chip cookies makes 12 cookies.  Perfect for small households or when you don't need 5 dozen cookies laying around!

Ingredients

1⁄4 cups
butter (softened, 1 half stick)
1⁄4 cups
light brown sugar (firmly packed)
2 tablespoons
granulated sugar
1
large egg yolk
1⁄2 teaspoons
vanilla extract
1⁄2 cups
all-purpose flour
1⁄4 teaspoons
baking soda
1⁄4 teaspoons
salt
1⁄2 cups
semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
     
  2. Beat butter and sugars together in small bowl until creamy. Add egg yolk and vanilla; beat until well mixed.
     
  3. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in another small bowl. Add flour mixture and chocolate chips to butter mixture. Stir, by hand, until combined.
     
  4. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9-11 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
