Take and Make Activity Kits and Events

Take and Make Kits

Missing our hands-on events? Pick up a Take and Make Kit! Take and Make Kits are available for a variety of ages and come with instructions and all the essential components you'll need to complete a fun crafting project!

Recent crafts have included cross-stitch for adults, Halloween lanterns for teens, and pinecone winter owls for kids. Kits are produced in limited amounts and the selection changes regularly, so there’s always something new to craft! Kits are restocked in the morning and available on a grab-and-go, first come, first served basis. Pick one up in the Main Library or Ellettsville Branch vestibule entry during curbside pickup hours or on the Bookmobile.

While we can’t guide you through these activities in-person, we can easily do so on Zoom and YouTube! In addition to the grab-and-go kits, we’re also offering some Take and Make Kits by reservation. These particular kits are part of specific library programs and are paired with a DIY video or interactive Zoom event. Find a list below!

Take and Make Kits are generously funded by the Friends of the Library! They provide critical support that makes programs like these possible. Learn how to support the Friends of the Library Foundation.
