The purpose of the Bloomington Spinners and Weavers Guild is to promote cooperation and interchange of ideas among those interested in the arts of spinning and weaving; to stimulate public appreciation for the value of spinning and weaving; to provide instruction for members in the methods and techniques of spinning, weaving and related fiber arts.
The mission of BWS is to promote a growing relationship with artists, encourage one another , and provide opportunities for promoting and exhibiting our watercolor paintings in the community. Promotes watercolor painting or any water based and applied method. Provides paint-ins and education through demonstrations and guest artists.
Dedicated to promoting the visual arts at Indiana University, the Friends of Art at Indiana University has supported art history and studio art students at Indiana University since 1965.
Generously supporting studio art and art history undergraduate and graduate students is FoA's most important goal. Friends of Art Awards help to fund creative activities, research travels, and scholarships while forging connections between Indiana University and Institutions and sites around the world.
Local Clay Potter's Guild promotes individual artistic growth. Promotes the artistic standing of local clay as a whole and contributes to the growth of interest of ceramic arts in Indiana. The guild supports the annual "soup bowl" benefit and sponsors an annual education workshop.
