The Ground Floor (at the Main Library) and Ellettsville Teen Space are great places for teens ages 12–19 to make, create, and hang out! These spaces facilitate teen leadership, creativity, collaborative work, quiet study, and recreation. They include DIY design studios, music, board games, video games, cozy spots, virtual reality (The Ground Floor only), and more!

Both spaces follow the library’s behavioral rules and photography policy for the safety and comfort of all users. The Ground Floor is open to all ages on the second Sunday of every month.

Monday–Thursday: 3–9 PM
Friday: 3–6 PM
Saturday–Sunday: All Day

In order to promote a community of mentorship and to build relationships among the teens in Monroe County and the wider population, we provide volunteer opportunities. Those with interest in working with teens to facilitate digital creativity, technological exploration, artistic creation, or recreation are encouraged to fill out the library’s application for volunteering. Teens are also encouraged to volunteer within our spaces to mentor other teens, share their knowledge, and enhance the experience of all users.
