Tracing Stars is the story of two sisters, fitting in, and a lobster named Monty. Indie Lee Chickory believes in wishing on stars, she also believes in her rare golden lobster, Monty. When Monty sneaks a ride to school in Indie's bag, disaster ensues. With Monty missing, her sister Bebe continually mad at her, Indie wishes on a star to be the best Indie Lee Chickory she can be. To start being the best she can be, Indie starts spending her days fitting in with Bebe and her new friends, and spending her nights searching for Monty with her new friend Owen. When Bebe tells her Owen is a loser and warns her not to be friends with him, Indie realizes being the best Indie Lee Chickory is more complicated than she thought. How can she keep Owen a secret, and make Bebe proud of her? This story is heartwarming, it teaches a great lesson about fitting in and being yourself. This book is great for anyone looking for something uplifting.
