Pinnacle School first began serving families as the Bloomington dePaul School in 1981. This year, we are proud to celebrate our 32nd year of teaching success. Many Pinnacle graduates go on to higher education and to pursue careers in science, technology, business, the arts, and more.

Twenty-First Century Scholars at IUB

Twenty-first Century Scholars' mission is to increase high school and college graduation rates among moderate to low-income students living in the state of Indiana. Income-eligible 7th- and 8th-graders that enroll in the program and fulfill a pledge of good citizenship to the state are guaranteed the cost of four years of college tuition at any participating public college or university in Indiana. The Twenty-first Century Scholars award can be applied to an eligible public, private, technical, or proprietary school in Indiana.

Volunteers in Tutoring Adult Learners (VITAL)

VITAL offers the following services:

  • One-to-one tutoring - Trained tutors help individual learners set goals, gain essential literacy skills, and increase their confidence.
  • New Reader Support Group - An opportunity for new readers to gather and exchange their thoughts and ideas in a supportive and confidential group
  • Additional Tutor Training - In-services are offered in the area of computing, GED tutoring, Laubach Method, and English as a second language
  • Introduction to Tutoring for Volunteers
