Mission: Through the gift of a shiny new toy, the Christmas For the Kids Inc. provides joy and hope to disadvantaged children who might otherwise be overlooked during the holidays. Sponsor a toy and give a child recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime.

Starting the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas for the Kids will be collecting new, unwrapped toys in donation boxes at The Herald-Times, Black Lumber, Liberty Family Dentistry, Rural King and Cummings Bookkeeping in Ellettsville. All donations must be made by Dec. 16, and toys will be distributed Dec. 19.

Monetary donations to Christmas for the Kids can also be made by sending a check made out to Christmas for the Kids Inc., 3219 Allendale Drive, Bloomington, IN, 47401, or online.

Our $26 million endowment is growing and so is the difference we make by connecting caring people, important cuases, and community resources.

Regina Moore, Bloomington's current City Clerk, first conceived the idea of a Democratic Women's Caucus during the local 2003 campaigns. She and Susan Sandberg were the only women to run on the city's ballot in 2003. Moore ran for and was reelected City Clerk.

The Ellettsville Chamber of Commerce is the voice of the business community and provides the glue in a mosaic of community partners working together to make Ellettsville a more vibrant, productive, and cohesive community. The Chamber, established in 1960, continues to preserve the twon's image and help make the community a better place to work and live.

We must end racism and institutional oppression by uplifting black leadership, business, and art in our local communities.

In light of recent events in regards to the killing of black people by police officers, the community of Bloomington has decided to take a stand for our brothers and sisters.

Fair Trade Bloomington was incorporated in October of 2007 with the goal of educating about Fair Trade and increasing the availability of Fair Trade products in Bloomington, Indiana. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunity for those living in Bloomington and nearby communities to contribute to global economic development and poverty relief through education and products that adhere to fair trade principles. In 2013, Bloomington became Indiana's First Fair Trade Town.
