The Bahá'í Faith is known for its teachings on such issues as race unity, the equality of women and men, the spiritual education of children, and the establishment of world peace. We believe that the spiritual solutions to many of the world's challenges can be found in the Teachings of Bahá'u'lláh, the Prophet-Founder of the Bahá'í Faith.

Mission:
We believe God has placed Ellettsville First Assembly of God into this community for a specific mission: “Healing Hearts | Changing Lives” by the power of Jesus Christ. Our vision is meant to expand on the mission.

Here at Emmanuel, we are Fueling a Passion for Following Jesus. A relationship with Jesus begins with understanding the central message of the Bible: Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father but by him (John 14:6). Our church exists to proclaim that simple but life-changing message in our community and across the globe.
We believe that the gospel is the centerpiece of faith and life. The gospel is the good news about what God has done through Jesus. God has not only created the world, but since all humanity has fallen out of right relationship with Him, He has brought salvation to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus, His Son, and He will one day make all things right for all time. The Bible considers this message about what Jesus has done as the foundation for Christian faith (see 1 Corinthians 15:1-5), and so do we.

OUR PRESBYTERIAN FAITH
We are a dynamic congregation with close ties to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and grounded in the Reformed Tradition, which stretches back to John Calvin, Martin Luther and the Reformation that gave birth to the Protestant tradition of the priesthood of all believers. The Presbyterian Church of the 21st century holds fast to the notion that God is continually at work in the world, that Jesus Christ is head of the Church, and that we are called to be life-long learners, richly diverse even in the midst of our unity as people of faith, and open to all that God, in Christ, is leading us to do and be.

We embrace worship that touches the mind, heart, and soul; learning environments that invite questions and provide encouragement; service that reaches out to others in need; and fellowship that brings people together. Our church is about merging faith and daily living, as we seek to know God deeply and more fully. Whether you’re looking for a place to worship on Sundays, or desire to connect with others throughout the week, we respect your preferences and welcome you.

Foot of the Cross is fxchurch, formed in 2007 via national, state, and local partnerships to impact the campus at Indiana University. We continue to do ministry through the prayerful and financial generosity of cooperating believers. The church operates on IU’s campus as fxcampus, gathers collectively on Sundays to worship, and meets in other locations throughout the community during the week to re:group. We desire to reach our campus and community with the good news about Jesus, and strive to be multigenerational and multiethnic.

The Islamic Center at 1925 East Atwater, on the corner of the Indiana University campus is considered one of the most beautiful buildings in Bloomington, the woodland of the Hoosier State. The dream of hundreds of Muslims to have a mosque took more than a decade of hard work to come to light. For a few years, the MSA used the International Center and other places to perform Friday prayers. It proved very inconvenient for Muslims. In December 1975, the MSA bought a house on East 8th Street from a local church and converted it into an Islamic center. The two prayer halls, library and basement were used to their maximum but not without problems. Though the center was in a prime location, it was hard to maintain and had only 8 parking spaces for almost 500 students. In June 1984, the MSA made a historic decision when it bought property for the purpose of building a mosque. The money was provided by Dr. Abdullah Naseef, the secretary general of the Muslim World league.
