We meet twice a month. Our local singings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 7-9 PM in the lower level of the Fairview Methodist Church. (600 W 6th St.) Park in the lot on the north side of the building and enter through the lower level doors on the southeast side of the building.

Newbies are encouraged! Don’t worry, loaner books are provided!

The Bloomington Peace Choir is a non-auditioned choir that invites singers of all skills and those who are new to singing. Our mission is to sing for the joy of singing and sharing music from around the world. We visit area senior centers as part of our musical outreach.

Founded in 1989 by concertmaster Lenore Hatfield, the Camerata Orchestra offers a professional setting for Indiana University Jacobs School of Music faculty, retired faculty, music students, and townspeople in Bloomington, Indiana. Internationally known guest conductors lead the orchestra with soloists from I.U. faculty, concert artists, and Camerata Solo Competition winners.

The Hoosier Community Chorus is a newly forming mixed vocal ensemble based in Bloomington, Indiana. We welcome both experienced and inexperienced vocal music lovers of all voice parts. New Voices Opera is based in Bloomington, Indiana.  The company is a mix of students at Indiana University and community members. A creative team and crew chiefs are assembled for each production with an active roster of vocalists, musicians, and crew members. . Their mission is to  foster the creation of operas by the next generation of operatic composers,  help create a genre of opera that is relevant to a modern audience in today's society,  strengthen the cultural vitality of our region with new operatic works and a new operatic genre, and  provide student musicians and artists with increased performance opportunities and creative outlets.

Led by Jacobs School of Music faculty coach Kimberly Carballo, and as a community partner in service learning for Indiana University students, ROK’s goal is two-fold: to introduce area children to opera through engaging first experiences as audience members, and to give developing professional musicians an opportunity to hone their performance skills. The musicians donate their preparation and performance time, and ROK provides free performances and curriculum guides to K-12 students.

"Sounds of Indiana" is an a-cappella male Barbershop Chorus that sings and performs popular songs in the unique style called Barbershop, focusing on consonant four-part harmony. We meet Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Music classroom at Templeton Elementary School to enjoy the fellowship of creating music together and to prepare for numerous public performances during the year. The Sounds of Indiana chorus belongs to the Cardinal District of the national Barbershop Harmony Society. Visitors and new members are always welcome!
