Democratic Women's Caucus

Description

Regina Moore, Bloomington's current City Clerk, first conceived the idea of a Democratic Women's Caucus during the local 2003 campaigns. She and Susan Sandberg were the only women to run on the city's ballot in 2003. Moore ran for and was reelected City Clerk.

Description

The Monroe County Democratic Party works to promote equality of opportunity, foster progressive solutions, support individual civil liberties and diversity, equity and inclusion. They have hosted national figures from William Jennings Bryan to Birch Bayh to Bill and Hillary Clinton to Nancy Pelosi to Barack Obama to Bernie Sanders to Pete Buttigieg. The Monroe County Democratic Party recruits candidates, registers voters, and get out the vote to support their slate of candidates up and down ballot. They support several party caucuses and annually participate in civic events from the County Fair to the Bloomington 4th of July parade to Pridefest.
