OUR MISSION

Light House Community Church is mandated, by the Word of God, to fulfill the Great Commission by winning lost souls to Christ and empowering the believer to grow in Christ through prayer, study of the Holy Bible, and life application teaching.

Lutheran Campus Ministry is an inclusive ministry in Christ, that invites people in the University community to develop a deeper understanding of the body of Christ, so that they can discover and fulfill their vocation as disciples.

Men of purpose is an ancillary ministry of the Ellettsville First Assembly of God. The mission is to care for widows and orphans in their time of distress.

The purpose of the church shall be the proclamation of the Word of God and the teaching of the Holy Bible as God reveals it to us as a means of cultivating the church members in Christian life. To whole heartedly attempt to fulfill the command of the Lord Jesus Christ to preach, teach, and to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20); and to be active in a program that will contribute to the edification of all believers and assist them in their effort to gain in the knowledge of Christ and their pursuit of gaining the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.

The mission of church shall be to win men, women, boys, and girls to the Lord Jesus Christ through the proclamation of the gospel and through our lives. Our goal is to serve the needs of people in our community and world through our witness and through our giving.

Northside Christian Church is a group of people looking to make a difference in Bloomington by our service and our love for God and each other.

The mission of The Salvation Army is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Sanshin Zen Community is an authorized Buddhist temple in the Soto Zen tradition. It exists to enable practice in the style of Kosho Uchiyama Roshi: zazen (meditation), deep study of Dogen Zenji’s teachings, and commitment to beneficial action. These three elements--zazen, study and work—are the foundation of Sanshin’s practice vision and calendar of activities.

Sanshin was founded in 1996 by Shohaku Okumura, a Soto Zen priest and respected translator of the thirteenth-century Japanese Zen master, Eihei Dogen Zenji. We're based at Shobozan Sanshinji 正法山 三心寺 in Bloomington, IN, where we offer opportunities for daily practice, weekly dharma talks, sesshin and retreats, and a three-month ango (practice period). Activities are open to anyone with a sincere interest in the practice of Soto Zen. We're largely a lay sangha, with most regular activities happening on weekday and Sunday mornings as well as occasional evenings in order to accommodate lives of work and family.

Our Vision: The church has been God's chosen  instrument to make disciples for more than 2000 years. Since 1858, God  has used Smithville Christian Church to share the good news of Jesus  Christ, welcoming everyone to share in his grace.

We believe that God wants us to follow Him and to be salt and light to our community. We are a part of the Restoration Movement and are trying to do our best to be Jesus to the world. God has called us to Worship Him and to live in Holiness before Him that we might grow and mature in our faith and in His Spirit.  We believe we are called to live in community with one another, through the church, to serve and work together. We are also called to make a difference, to witness for Jesus Christ and influence the world around us.

We value the story of Jesus, and look to be active followers of the way of Jesus in the world. We seek to understand our faith relying on Scripture, Tradition, Experience, and Reason as we wrestle with questions of faith. We seek to make this faith and these values part of our personal lives and the lives of our church community. We believe the stories of Jesus inform our Christian life. And we are willing to contemplate these stories as we walk together on our spiritual journeys

St. John the Apostle Catholic Church welcomes all people, wherever they may be on their faith journey, to join our parish family as we strive to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Putting our faith into action, we demonstrate the love of Christ in our lives and in the Ellettsville-Bloomington community.

Pastor Ben Muncie and family lead our church in a fun and God-loving way. We are close friends and family anchored in faith and love. Stinesville church was built in 1963. Our doors are always open.
