SIREN (the Southern Indiana Renewable Energy Network) is a volunteer-run organization that promotes renewable energy in southern Indiana. We are a project of the nonprofit, 501(c)3, Center for Sustainable Living (CSL). Our primary focus is promoting solar power including photovoltaic (electricity), solar hot water, and solar air heating furnaces for homes, business, churches and schools. "Sounds of Indiana" is an a-cappella male Barbershop Chorus that sings and performs popular songs in the unique style called Barbershop, focusing on consonant four-part harmony. We meet Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Music classroom at Templeton Elementary School to enjoy the fellowship of creating music together and to prepare for numerous public performances during the year. The Sounds of Indiana chorus belongs to the Cardinal District of the national Barbershop Harmony Society. Visitors and new members are always welcome!

They offer services to income-eligible households throughout a four-county service area including Monroe, Morgan, Brown, and Owen Counties. They provide weatherization assistance information to make homes safer and more sufficient, help income eligible households with their heat and electric bills through the Energy Assistance program, offer free meetings with knowledgeable healthcare navigators to help people figure out their health insurance coverage, have Head Start and Early Head Start, an innovative initiative called Thriving Connections, and administer the Housing Choice Voucher..
